Terminal app
Put ShiftLog on your tablet
One app, mounted by the door. Faces are recognised on the tablet itself — clock-ins keep working even when the internet does not. Runs on any Android 8+ tablet with a front camera.
Setting it up
- 1
Download the APK on the tablet
Open this page in the tablet’s browser and tap the download button. If the tablet is still in a box, you can also download on a computer and copy it across on a USB cable.
- 2
Allow the install when Android asks
Because this is a direct download rather than the Play Store, Android will ask you to allow installs from your browser — tap Settings, switch it on, and come back. This is a one-time step and it is safe to switch off again afterwards.
- 3
Open the app and enter your pairing code
The app asks for a six-character code. An owner or admin gets one in the portal under Devices → Add tablet — the code ties this tablet to your company and nothing else.
- 4
Mount it and start enrolling faces
Fix the tablet at face height by the entrance, plugged in. Employees enrol in under a minute each, and from then on they just look at the camera.

We supply the tablet, the lockable wall mount, and come to your site to install and pair everything — added at checkout when you subscribe, or during your free trial.
No account yet? Start a free trial first — the tablet needs a pairing code from your portal to do anything.
